Ching Song was born in Fujian, China. She started piano lessons when she was five years old and entered the Subordinate School of Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing in 1987. After graduation, she entered the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing in 1992 majoring in piano performance, studying piano with Yang Jun. She graduated with honors and received a Bachelors Degree in Music in 1996. In 1997, Ching enrolled in the School of Music, Louisiana State University studying Piano with Professor Michael Gurt and received a Masters of Music degree in 1999.  She has completed work towards her PhD. Ching is a member of the Music Teachers’ National Association in the United States.  Ching concentrates her time on being a mother, wife and teacher.  Ching is regarded as an elite piano teacher who focuses on discipline in order to develop technical capability and artistry.  Ching’s students must actively participate in recitals. Many of Ching Song students have entered and won first place in national competitions and state rally. Ching Song's students have also won both Junior and Senior Concerto competition in 2010. Ching’s students use her firm yet gentle teaching style as a garden from which their dreams grow and blossom into successful disciplined scholars.  Many of Ching’s students transition to very competitive colleges nationwide.  Ching Song is a technically competent pianist and a gifted teacher whose students do and will continue to achieve greatness in their pursuits.
